We love this “Barefoot Contessa” recipe for sticky buns! Her shortcut version is foolproof and won’t disappoint. Especially good at the B&B in the mornings with a hot cup of coffee while enjoying the early mist over the pastures from the view of the front porch swing……
1 ½ sticks butter, softened
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 ½ tsp. cinnamon
3/4 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup raisins
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1. Preheat oven to 400 degree F. Cream butter and 1/3 cup brown sugar. Put 1 tablespoon of creamed mixture into each bottom cup of 12 cup muffin tin. Sprinkle pecans over each tablespoon of mixture. Set tin aside.
2. Open puff pastry sheet and spread with softened butter. Sprinkle on 1/3 cup brown sugar, cinnamon and raisins, evenly. Roll up tightly, lengthwise. Cut roll into 12 equal pieces and place each piece, cut side down into muffin cups on top of pecans and creamed mixture. Press down each piece.
3. Bake for 30 minutes. Serves: 6
