Main Street Brenham will again be hosting the popular free concerts each Saturday in July aptly named, “Hot Nights, Cool Tunes” summer concert series.  This a unique event  happens in the  slow-paced summertime,  in the shade of our beautiful, historic downtown.  The quality of the bands is outstanding and best of all, it’s free.  Those who attend will have the unique opportunity to sit back, bask in the ambiance of our historic downtown, and enjoy friends and fantastic entertainment.  Book your room now and be just 5 minutes away from downtown!

Free Summer Concert Series in Downtown Brenham Texas

LINEUP for 2012

The concerts start at 7 p.m. this year.

Kicking off the event on Saturday, July 7, are The Newsboyz (newsboyz.com), a five-piece band from Austin with female and male lead singers, playing a huge variety of music.

The second week, Saturday, July 14, concert attendees will see the band Dysfunkshun Junkshun (dysfunkshunjunkshun.com).

Returning to the Hot Nights stage, Saturday, July 21 is Abbey Rode & Already Gone (AbbeyRode.com) — Beatles and Eagles Tribute bands.

Saturday, July 28, Main Street brings back the popular group Suede (suedeaustin.com), which performs hits from the ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s and today.

This year, the Stray Katz Car Club is sponsoring the Classic Car Cruise-In that will be lining West Alamo Street for every show. Car enthusiasts interested in participating may call 836-2855.

Again this year, food and beverages are going to be available provided by the Brenham Rotary Club and Brenham Main Street Historical Preservation Inc. Those planning to enjoy the evening are encouraged to support these organizations and the work they do in the community, by leaving coolers at home and helping to keep the concerts free.

Looking for romance, great entertainment and lovely libations while  staying at the ranch?  Book one of our romance packages and enjoy live entertainment at the Stone  Cellar in Round Top which will be featured on the patio from 6:00-10:00 PM until March 16, 2012. Saturday evening performances will not be held in the event of inclement weather.  Friday night performances will be moved inside to the Stone Cellar piano room.

The first County Fair in Texas celebrates 143 years! Don’t miss the fun of the Washington County Fair, September 10-17 at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Brenham, Texas.  The B&B is just 1 mile down  the  road and we get to enjoy the sights and sounds from our porches if the wind is just right!  Love it, love it!  So,come on up and get ready for the excitement and thrills of the  a real Texas Fair and real Texas rodeo!
