Our Valentines Day Cocktail recipe at the ranch:
1 Tb. Raspberry-Rosemary Infused Simple Syrup**
2 tsp. St. Germain Elderflower liqueur
2 Tb. Skyy Vodka
1/2 fresh lemon juiced
20 fresh raspberries, divided between 2 champagne flutes
Mix first four ingredients and divide between the 2 raspberry filled champagne flutes. Gently top each flute with Prosecco until each glass is filled.
**Recipe: Make a simple syrup by boiling 1 cup sugar to 1 cup water and adding 1 cup fresh raspberries and 6 inch sprig of fresh rosemary to the pot. Cover and let steep 20 minutes, muddle and mash down raspberries and then strain syrup into clean sterile bottle, being sure to remove all solids from syrup. We love soup just about any time of the year at the ranch but during the Fall and Winter is seems to be a weekly staple on our lunch and dinner table. This is a lovely Fall soup when the sweet potatoes and apples are at their peak. You will find soup included in many of our culinary events and cooking classes at the B&B. Keep an extra pot of this soup in the freezer for when unexpected guests arrive. Just reheat, add a hearty salad with nuts, farmstead cheese and bottle of local wine and you have a fine supper for impromptu entertaining.
