By the time I located their vintage turquoise colored pull trailer, they were already sold out of 2 of the varieties they made and during my delicious repast under their adjoining tent, I soon discovered why they had a steady stream of customers…..it wasn’t just the cute setup or good looking gals inside but the sweet treat that was hidden inside and could be had for only a mere $3! Brenham Texas is known for its’ history, architecture, wineries, Blue Bell ice cream, shopping, restaurants and famous Fall and Spring antiques fairs. True antique hunters also know we also have several antique shows throughout the year here locally. At the most recent Summer show, held at the KC Hall just a couple miles from the Bed and Breakfast, I procured a new treasure that has already found a home on my pine harvest table. This English Copper Warming Tray has a beautiful patina from years of service. It will be put back in service during many of our Foodie events and cooking class adventures.

The Spring Antiques Fairs are about to wrap up but there are lots of great pickin’s still to be had! We picked up a couple of great finds for guest ranch bed and breakfast…a really cool 8 foot pine harvest table and Hoosier cabinet! The Fall fairs are September 23 to October 2. Antiques Fairs are over for the Fall! Our guests came home with lots of great finds from jewelry to architectural elements! However, for those of you still wanting to shop there are lots of antique shops in our historic downtown and surrounding area towns.
