125 Years of Grape Growing in Washington County
In 1886, Charles Niederauer established a vineyard on the family’s 140-acre homestead north ofBrenham in Washington County. He planted Herbemont and Black Spanish and both of these grapes are in the vineyards at Pleasant Hill Winery today. Today we have 3 wonderful wineries carrying on the tradition of Washington County wine: Saddlehorn Winery, Windy Winery and Pleasant Hill Winery Be sure to visit all three while staying at the B&B or when passing through Washington County!

June 18, 2011 is another wonderful and fun Beer Festival in Round Top at the Stone Cellar!
This year they will be featuring beers “made in the USA!” It is going to be similar to previous beer festivals with a commemorative glass, a half pint of all featured beers, and two free pints if you complete the tour. It is a gauntlet of sorts to complete, so be responsible and plan accordingly for a safe, fun day.
The Black Cat Choir will be rockin’ from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. and Eugene Eugene and the Solid Foundation will provide great dance music for the after party from 7 p.m. – 11 p.m.

May 7, 2011: Over 30 wines from around the globe plus live entertainment at this annual Spring Festival of Wine at the Stone Cellar. Enjoy historic Henkel Square and all its’ artisans during your visit to this tiny slice of country near Brenham Texas and Murski Homestead. This wine shop is located near the Bluebonnet Wine Trail where you can visit local wineries for tours and tastings during your weekend stay over for the festival!

International Beer Festival on February 19, 2011
Starting at 1:00p.m. the doors to the 2nd Semi-Annual Round Top International Beer Festival will open allowing participants to “Drink Around the World in Round Top.” The event will feature various brews from here in the states as well as abroad. There will be ten featured brews. Each participant will receive a commemorative pint glass for the event as well as an 8 oz taste of the beers presented, and two free tastes of any of the featured beers. Live music will start at the opening of the event by Randy Pavlock and Twenty Four Seven.
