Best Restaurants in Brenham TX

October 22nd, 2013 by Pamela Murski

Best Restaurants in Brenham TXMy mouth is watering just thinking of all the deliciousness in Brenham, Texas. If you love food and new experiences, we have some recommendations for your trip!

First, make your way to Murski Homestead Bed and Breakfast for one of our Texas Cooking Classes and Foodie Events. You’ll create a memorable experience in a relaxing atmosphere. Even better yet, you can leave with the recipes and duplicate them at home! We offer cooking classes and lessons in culinary herbs that are demo-style or hands-on. You can determine how involved you’d like to be in the process.

After sharpening your culinary skills in one of our cooking classes on the ranch, make sure to try out the best restaurants in Brenham TX!

Funky Art Café is great for lunch. It has an interesting and diverse menu. Just like its name, the restaurant is a bit funky in ambiance as it serves up artfully prepared food. It’s snuggled in the back of a historic downtown Brenham building that’s decorated according to season. There’s a purple wall displaying the work of local artists and a menu that changes every four months. At least two homemade desserts will be offered each day.

Now we’re on to the “home of the $100 burger!” The Southern Flyer Diner is located at the Brenham Municipal Airport and is open every day. Nearly everything at the diner is made from scratch. The Southern Flyer Diner is consistently ranked among the “Best of the Best.”

Must Be Heaven is another great option, with a fresh menu and quality ingredients. This unique experience will take you back to the good ole days of ice cream shops and hand-crafted sandwiches. The atmosphere makes everyone want to slow down and enjoy their day! Enjoy a sandwich, soup, and maybe a piece of fruit…just don’t forget to try the pie that is always made fresh!

Stopping by Ernie’s American Bistro is a must on the trip. It specializes in personalized service, where American Bistro Dining and “Slow Food” converge to make eating both a pleasure and leisurely experience. Try the fish tacos or beef tenderloin at Ernie’s. They will not disappoint.

There “ain’t no fib about the rib” at the original Big Daddy’s, also known as Nathan’s BBQ! This place is always hopping. Swing in for some ribs, brisket, chops or a handmade dessert.

And if you enjoy Mexican cuisine, try the fine food at Los Cabos. They offer great lunch specials, and their dinner prices are extremely affordable. Start your dinner with a half-frozen/half on the rocks “Stars Over Texas!”

For another dinner option, try Volare Restaurant. It is rooted in the warm flavors of the Matera countryside and its dishes are infused with international flavors that create distinctive tastes. The menu is always fresh and the dishes are always flavorful.

As you make your reservations at some of the best restaurants in Brenham TX, don’t forget to reserve your room with us at Murski Homestead Bed and Breakfast! Come experience a true Texas guest ranch with more than 100 years of history! Find your perfect room here!
