The Cotton Gin Festival

The Burton Cotton Gin Festival is held annually at the Texas Cotton Gin Museum, home of the 1914 Burton Farmers Gin Mill. The festival spans two days and features plenty to do and see for everyone. Best of all, admission is free!

Make sure you’re hungry when you show up, and fill up on delicious Texas food, or test your waistline and enter the pie eating contest. Don’t miss the Burton Tractor Pull, either! Or step back in time and challenge yourself at the cotton seed pulling contest. Tours of the museum are also offered!

The 2016 festival featured performances from the Shiner Hobo Band, Hilltop Ramblers, and The Dujka Brothers, and you can expect the same quality of music in 2017! Be sure to keep an eye on the museum’s website for the next festival’s schedule.
