Entering its 45th year, the Kerrville Folk Festival kicks off before Memorial Day Weekend even starts, and runs until June 12. Each weekend of this annual Kerrville, TX festival features a talented roster of songwriters and bands. Performing during the Memorial Day weekend portion of the festival are the Billy Jonas Band, Terri Hendrix, The Deer, and many more. Life Time Tri CapTex – May 30, 2016

National Polka Festival – May 27-29, 2016

 

Located south of Dallas, the town of Ennis will host the 50th Annual National Polka Festival. This celebration of polka music and its roots in Czech culture features a parade, arts and crafts, and of course – polka. This year’s lineup includes performances by Brave Combo, Czech and Then Some, Fritz Hodde’s “The Fabulous Six,” and many more. Texas Rangers vs. Pittsburgh Pirates – May 27-29, 2016

The Rangers won’t be in town on Memorial Day itself, but they’ll be dueling it out in Arlington for the three days leading up to the holiday.
