  • January 18, 2014
  • Uptown Wine Swirl
  • Kick off the new year with an afternoon of wine tasting in quaint stores around Brenham’s downtown district! Maps will show the locations of tasting and the wine being sampled at each. You can pick up the guide at the gazebo on the day of the event. Don’t miss out. It’s for more than just wine lovers as well.
  • April 12, 2014
  • Blue Bell Fun Run
  • This annual event starts off at Brenham High School. The trail will take runners through the beautiful countryside on paved, winding roads, and you’ll pass hills covered in Bluebonnets! There is a 5K, 10K and kids’ 1-mile fun run. Sign up here.
  • May 2 – May 4, 2014
  • Maifest | German Festival
  • The Brenham Maifestival takes place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Fireman’s Park. It all starts at 6 p.m. on Friday with music, festival food and drinks and children’s activities. Events run throughout the weekend. The festivities include a Junior Coronation, Maifest Parade, Senior Coronation and lots more. There is no admission charge to the grounds for the festival.
  • March 22 – March 23, 2014
  • The Brenham Gun Show
  • Hosted by the Real Texas Gun Shows of Texas, the Brenham Gun Show will be held at the Brenham Firearms Center. All Federal, State and local firearm ordinances and laws must be obeyed. There will be additional dates in May, August and October.
  • Each Saturday in July, 2014
  • Hot Nights Cool Tunes Concert Series
  • Enjoy bands from all genres and eras for four weeks during the Hot Nights Cool Tunes Concert Series in downtown Brenham. Held throughout the month of July, it’s the perfect way to celebrate as the bands’ cool tunes make summer heat up even more!
  • September 12 – September 20, 2014
  • Washington County Fair
  • Don’t miss out on the oldest county fair in Texas. With plenty years of experience, the Washington County Fair has got it right! It was established in 1868 in Brenham. They host a variety of events at the annual fair in September, including concerts, rodeos, livestock shows, arts and craft shows, special attractions, a carnival, commercial exhibits and more. The fairgrounds are located on Blue Bell Road between Highways 36 and 105.
  • Fall 2014
  • Fall Festival of Roses
  • This annual event featuring a garden and fragrance gallery is hosted by the Antique Rose Emporium at Independence Display Gardens. Tour 20 acres of 100,000 roses, experience all facets of production and learn about gardening and growing roses.
  • Winter 2014
  • Christmas Stroll and Lighted Parade
  • Celebrate the season with the lighting of the courthouse tree, a lighted parade, farmers market, Gingerbread Home Tour, and live entertainment! The event also includes a Jingle Bell Stroll 5k!
