11:00 am Glenn Schroeter “Propagation: Getting to the Root of the Matter”
Glenn, ARE’s own production manager, will walk you through easy methods of producing your own roses from cuttings. During his 20 years of experience here, he has rooted, grown and marketed over 5 million roses.

1:00 pm Judy Barrett “Yes, You Can Grow Roses”
Judy dispels the myth that roses are difficult and high maintenance. Judy is the editor of HOMEGROWN: Good Sense Organic Gardening. She is the author of many gardening books and articles including the just-released: YES, You Can Grow Roses which will be for sale after her talk.

You can literally scare a plant to death when shade turns into searing sunlight. See how to unify diverse lighting, even in one bed, and meet some plants that accept the drama. Linda is producer of Central Texas Gardener at KLRU-TV.

He has introduced many plants to Texas gardeners including Henry Duehlberg salvia and the EarthKind rose, Marie Daley. This GWA Silver Medal award winner for Heirloom Gardening in the South, lives and gardens at his grandparent’s restored dogtrot house with terriers Acer and Ilex.

Join Pam as she illustrates the replacement of your high maintenance lawn with a natural and inviting landscape. Pam is a garden designer and publisher of Digging, a gardening blog.
