Blacksmithing  In Texas!

On the weekend of October 29-30, step back into history at Barrington Living History Farm as members of the Houston Area Blacksmiths Association will demonstrate the age old craft of metalworking.  Experience the blaze of the forge fire, the clang of the hammer and anvil. See blazing hot steel formed into beautiful objects to be displayed.

Demonstrations will take place on both days from 10 am – 4:30 pm. “Smithing in Texas” will be held at Barrington Living History Farm, home of Dr. Anson Jones, the last president of the Republic of Texas. Admission fees are $5 adults, $3 students, and children under 6 are admitted free. State Park pass holders are admitted free as well.  For details on Smithing in Texas, call 936-878-2214 or visit Birthplace of Texas.

For a great Bed and Breakfast Getaway, stay at the ranch!
